Submission of reflection statements (and more...)

The target audience for this workshop are researchers and practitioners in the AutoUI/HCI community, who are interested to bring forward the field of AR and VR in driving applications. We invite researchers interested in this workshop to submit (short) reflection statements per Email to the workshop organizers.

Submissions for the workshop (not anonymous, i.e., including author names and affiliations) should be compiled using the CHI extended abstracts (EA) format. We encourage participants to submit 1-2 page reflection statements (in CHI EA format) contributing to one or more of the workshop goals stated under "Workshop Objectives". Successful submissions will have the potential to raise discussion, provide insights for other attendees, or illustrate problems and provide potential solutions.

Submission deadline is August 26th, 2019. Please feel free to contact the organizers at any time.

The selection of workshop participants will be done by a review process. To guarantee fair decisions, experts from the broader field of the workshop theme will serve as reviewers. Submissions need not to be anonymous.
The program committee will review the statements, and make recommendations for acceptance or rejection. Final decisions of accepting or rejecting a paper will be made by the organizers of the workshop based on the review scores and with respect to offering all workshop participants an interesting, diversified program.

Please format your paper according to the CHI EA templates used for the AutomotiveUI conference. Templates can be downloaded here:

Pre-workshop activities

We will share the accepted reflection statements with all participants (subject to approval of authors) in preparation for the workshop. We will also invite all participants to share at least one publication that they feel would be valuable for all participants to be familiar with, and we will share the list of these publications, too. In addition, we plan to ask 4 questions (one per problem field) and collect responses. We will share all these results too.
