Paper submission and review process

We invite participants to submit 1-4 page papers (in CHI EA format) describing a crisp, self-contained problem in the field of the workshop. Submissions can span the range from small-scale studies to large-scale deployments, from the lab to the field, with small or large number of participants. We are interested in understanding the various protocols and contexts used in different automotive UI studies. Successful submissions will have the potential to raise discussion, provide insights for other attendees, or illustrate problems and provide potential solutions.

All material must be uploaded to the OpenConf submission system on or before the submission deadline. The submitted work should contain a description of the area of research, specific work (empirical or theoretical) on the workshop topic, and the innovative character of the research. Submissions should be made electronically not later than July20th (extended), 2015 using the EasyChair paper submission system available here: Submit to AutoUI '15 workshop (select the correct track: Workshop on PRACTICAL EXPERIENCES in Measuring and Modeling Drivers and Driver-Vehicle Interactions). Please feel free to contact the organizers at any time.

The selection of workshop participants will be done by a review process. To guarantee fair decisions, experts from the broader field of (driving) psychology, user experience design and natural user interfaces will serve as reviewers. Submissions need not to be anonymous. Final decisions of accepting or rejecting a paper will be made by the organizers of the workshop based on the review scores and with respect to offering all workshop participants an interesting, diversified program.

Templates

Please format your paper according to the ACM SIGCHI extended abstract (EA) format. Templates can be downloaded at the ACM SIGCHI Conference Publications Format webpage. Submissions do not need to be anonymous.
