Visit of a Kenyan delegation

On November 26, 2018, a delegation of 17 Kenyan university staff members visited our driving simulator lab as part of the THI project “East-Africa Network of Excellence for Universities of Applied Sciences”. The group was in Ingolstadt for a workshop on technology and knowledge transfer, and we discussed the German model of Universities of Applied Sciences with representatives from seven universities in Kenya.

The visitors showed high interested in our research on automated driving, especially technology confidence and acceptance. In particular, they were interested to learn how we conduct research (publicly funded and contract research) and what impact our research has on German society and policy makers.
