Submission of reflection statements (and more...)

This workshop is intended for researchers and practitioners as well for designers, developers, and students interested in human factors, interaction design, human-computer interface development, amongst others, with particular focus on applications in automated driving. Its goal is to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange between academia and industry (automotive manufacturers, third-party suppliers, designers) regarding novel approaches for HMI research in the transition to automated driving. Another goal is to show opportunities around natural and adaptive user interfaces and to discuss problems and challenges in the field.

Submissions for the workshop (not anonymous, i.e., including author names and affiliations) should be compiled using the templates from the main conference (ACM SIGCHI template). These are available in LaTeX, Word or Overleaf, see: LaTeX, Word, Overleaf templates. We allow the submission of both long and short papers. Long papers should be 6-10 pages long (excluding references). Short papers should be 2-4 pages (excluding references). All papers have to be submitted via ConfTool (select "new submission" and choose "MC-WS14: 9th Workshop Automotive HMIs: Natural and Adaptive UIs to Support Future Cars" as track). Workshop submissions should make a contribution to one or more of the workshop objectives/topics of interest stated on the main page. Successful submissions will have the potential to raise discussion, provide insights for other attendees, or illustrate problems and provide potential solutions.

Submission deadline is June 10, 2020. Please feel free to contact the organizers regarding any question at any time.

The selection of workshop participants will be done by a review process. To guarantee fair decisions, experts from the broader field of the workshop theme will serve as reviewers. Submissions need not to be anonymous.
The program committee will review the statements, and make recommendations for acceptance or rejection. Final decisions of accepting or rejecting a paper will be made by the organizers of the workshop based on the review scores and with respect to offering all workshop participants an interesting, diversified program.

We will share the accepted position papers with all participants (subject to approval of authors) in preparation for the workshop.
